SMS Text Message Consent

Boats and Fish uses SMS text messages solely for phone number verification and critical account security notifications. This page explains exactly what you will receive and how to opt out at any time.

How You Opt In

You opt in to receive SMS messages from Boats and Fish when you:

  • Create an account and add a mobile phone number to your profile.
  • Request a one-time passcode (OTP) to verify your phone number.
  • Trigger a security action (e.g. password reset) that requires SMS confirmation.

By entering your mobile number and requesting an OTP, you expressly consent to receive the SMS messages described below from Boats and Fish (operated by Boats and Fish Establishment, UAE).

Types of Messages You Will Receive

Phone Verification OTP

A one-time passcode sent when you add or change your phone number. This message is triggered only by your own action.

Account Security Alerts

Critical notifications such as password reset confirmations or suspicious login alerts, sent only when a security event occurs on your account.

Message Frequency & Rates

  • Message frequency: Messages are sent only when triggered by your own actions (e.g. requesting an OTP). You will not receive unsolicited marketing SMS messages.
  • Message & data rates may apply. Standard SMS and data rates charged by your mobile carrier may apply to messages you receive. Boats and Fish does not charge you for SMS messages.
  • Supported carriers: All major UAE carriers (Etisalat/e&, du) and international carriers. Carrier availability may vary.

How to Opt Out

You can stop receiving SMS messages from Boats and Fish at any time by:

  • Replying STOP to any SMS message you receive from us.
  • Removing your phone number from your account in Dashboard → Profile.
  • Contacting us at [email protected] to request removal.

After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation SMS. You may opt back in at any time by adding your phone number to your account again.
